PC Mechanic (www.pcmech.com)

PC Mechanic is a premier web property operated by PC Media. It serves as an online community for PC do-it-yourself 'ers to learn how to upgrade, build, and troubleshoot their own PCs.

The site was started back in 1997 and has been growing rapidly ever since. Today we have thousands of people visit the site every day. Whereas David Risley started the site, today we have a staff and several authors helping by writing articles as well as managing the large community forums.

The site is divided into categories, each corresponding to a major component or type of component for the personal computer. Inside of each category are articles related to that area. We also have major content divisions such as editorials, reviews (hardware and software), etc.

What They're Saying

G. Unger says:

I've been a member of PCMech's forums for a while and I've been subscribing to the daily tips and newsletter for um ...forever. I keep it a secret that half the techno stuff I know is from PC Mech! Now, hearing your podcasts and seeing your new site, I'm assured that the site is still going strong and growing. I wanted to take this time to say great job guys. If we weren't communicating through the internet, I'd give you all a hug :) Keep up the awesome work.
